The average American household spends $17,000 each year on basic living expenses such as food, clothing, housewares, and personal care. Most never think about turning those dollars into positive actions: eating organic and locally-grown food, purchasing Fair Trade goods, and using green products to offset our environmental impact.

That's what buying green is all about. It is about sustaining our planet and its resources to create a better, cleaner, and sustainable future for generations to come. This Student Money Management Center is dedicated to helping students learn how to embrace living green in the green.
